# Punch raises $2 million to expand its construction intelligence platform

October 15, 2026 · By Punch

Punch has raised $2 million from returning investor Gutter Capital to expand its construction intelligence platform. Based in Atlanta, we’re building Punch to connect the people running construction projects in the field with the project managers and accounting teams supporting them in the office.

The funding will support growth in our engineering and customer teams, continued platform development, and helping more contractors put Punch to work. Our focus remains practical: help construction professionals move information into action without spending their day entering the same details into different systems.

## Built around the work, not another form

On a construction project, the people closest to the work often already know what happened, what changed, and what needs attention. The administrative work comes afterward: writing the report, passing along the material request, following up on a delay, or making sure the office has the right information.

Punch connects those moments. A superintendent can speak to the app, send a photo, or forward an email. Punch uses that information and the company’s rules to prepare a daily report, flag a delay, or create a follow-up task. A material request can become a purchase order using the company’s supplier pricing and approval process.

The goal isn’t another place to record the same information. It’s to help that information move the work forward, with the field and office working from shared project context.

> “I spent years managing construction projects, and I know how much of the day can disappear into paperwork,” said Taylor Sandusky, founder of Punch. “The people running these jobs already know what happened and what needs to happen next. They should be able to say it once and have that information move the work forward. That’s what we’re building with Punch.”

## Investing in the platform and the people behind it

Early customers have helped shape Punch around the work they do every day. This funding supports continuing that work: developing the platform and expanding the teams that build it and help contractors use it.

That includes helping companies retain more of their operating knowledge. Supplier preferences, approval rules, project processes, and experienced judgment shouldn’t live only in someone’s inbox or memory. Punch helps contractors build an internal playbook so newer employees can access more of the way their company works.

Punch works alongside contractors’ estimating and accounting systems. Teams can start with daily reports, purchasing, or invoice review and expand into other workflows over time.

For contractors exploring where Punch could fit, the next step is a working conversation about their own operation. Bring a real workflow your team handles every day, and we’ll use Punch on it with you.
